The National Records of Scotland released their baby names list on the 30th March and it’s always one I LOVE to have a nose at. I like to see where my kids names are on the list and love seeing how popular names change over time (the teacher in me is always curious about this too!).

So? Did your family names make this years list?

In the number one spots, there were 373 Noah’s this year and 309 Olivia’s.

By the hundredth spot there were 56 boys named Ellis, Finley, Frankie or Murray. Murray is a favourite in my house (it’s the name of my other half so it’s definitely a good one!).

From the girls hundreth spot there were 44 Iona’s and 44 Sadies.

So if you’re looking for something a little more unique then it might be worth heading to the end of the list or even checking out the rest of the list which can be found on the National Records for Scotlands website.
