Newborn and Maternity photography in Dundee and Angus
So…I’m guessing you’re here because you’re the proud new parent of an ickle baby or perhaps you are still in the process of baking one to perfection! Congratulations!
How exciting!
Newborn sessions take place in my simple and relaxed home studio.
We’re talking seriously relaxed here…coffee machine, snooze inducing couch, snacks and wifi!
The studio offers a simple white backdrop so it shows you all off in your very best light (after what will probably have been a sleepless night!).
The session is focused on getting family photographs of you all together as well as capturing some crackers of your brand new little addition.
There is space for your family to relax, play and even take a snooze if you are on your knees. It’s not just allowed, it’s encouraged!
If you don’t quite have your pre-baby body back yet and you are unsure what to wear for a session like this then you can choose from a selection of client dresses that will have you feeling a bit more put together without any stress.

FAQ’S
WHEN SHOULD I BOOK A Newborn SESSION?
If you want to guarantee a slot then feel free to get in touch any time after your 20 week scan. I’ll arrange a time to give you a ring so we chat about the upcoming arrival and what you’d like to get from your photographs. If you are happy to go ahead then I’ll pop your due date in my diary, I’ll send across a wee email and I’ll post out a welcome pack which will help you to prep for the session. Then we just wait on baby making an appearance!
HOW MUCH DOES THIS COST?
A newborn session is £50. This is due at the time of booking.

Can i bring the whole family?
Of course! The more the merrier! We will capture your baby on their own and we can get relaxed sibling shots as well as all the family together.
WHAT SHOULD We WEAR?
I usually recommend neutrals or pastels. You can keep it simple with jeans and a plain white tee if you like. For mums I have a selection of dresses and lacey bits and bobs you can pop on if you’d like. Everything I have in the studio is comfy and stretchy just in case you are still feeling a little on the tender side.
What if I need to feed my baby?
If baby needs a feed, then you feed them. If they need a change I have changing stuff on hand for you to use. We go with the flow and what your baby needs will always come first.
How long does a session last
This can be tricky to judge. If baby is super settled then it can be as short as 90 mins. If we need to feed/settle your baby then it can take up to 3 hours for the session.
How do i entertain my other kids during the session?
My family room has a sofa for chilling out on/snoozing on! There is wifi available so Peppa Pig can be played thorough phones/tablets. I have a coffee machine and plenty of snacks and if you let me know what kind of things your kids are into then I’ll do my best to put toys and books out that will appeal to them.
CAN YOU JUST TAKE PHOTOS OF my Baby. I DON’T WANT TO BE IN THEM.
I will absolutely do whatever you feel most comfortable with but I will always try to encourage you to go in just a couple. I totally get the body hang up's and never quite feeling like you've had the time to look the way you'd want to. But, do you know, I don't think I've ever had someone say they regret it after they see their images. What you end up seeing is the love in your family and that's kind of an important thing to capture...don’t you think?
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE SESSION
After the session I will sift through all of the photographs we took and;-
select only the finest of your images (we’re talking M & S quality here!).
I carefully hand edit each and every one for you (a minimum of 60) and then…
Present you with an awfully nice, tear inducing online gallery 10 - 14 days later.
You can then decide which ones you just can’t live without!
